§ Mr. HealdThe estimated number of war disablement pensions or lump sum gratuities awarded is as follows:
- (a) between 1967 and 1987–76,000
- (b) since 1987–297,770.
These figures include awards made to other groups such as civilians and mercantile mariners who sustained qualifying injuries since records of awards made solely to ex-service personnel for disablement due to service in the armed forces are not available.
