§ Mr. RichardsInformation from which pupil-teacher ratios for individual schools may be calculated is collected centrally only for the purpose of compiling statistical aggregates. PTRs for individual schools are not estimated on a regular basis, and their accuracy is not confirmed with the schools. The calculation and checking of these ratios would therefore involve disproportionate cost.
