§ The Attorney-GeneralSection 120 of the Magistrates' Court Act 1980 applies to proceedings to estreat a recognisance entered into a parent or guardian under section 58 of the Criminal Justice Act 1991. Breach proceedings are civil proceedings initiated by complaint. They are not commenced or conducted by the Crown Prosecution Service.
