Mr. Hall

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list all tax threshold rates and personal allowances for each year since 1976–77 (i) at 1976 constant prices and (ii) at 1996 constant prices. [19813]

Available information is given in the table. As the retail price index is not yet available for calendar year 1996, earnings tax thresholds have been given at 1995 constant prices.
