The Secretary of State for Transport has asked me to reply to your recent question about the Receiver of Wreck.The Receiver of Wreck is responsible for the disposal of "Fishes Royal" which become stranded in or on the shores of the United Kingdom. Since 1993 this has been a responsibility of the Coastguard Agency.
