To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what plans he has to implement the European Union's working time directive; and if he will make a statement. [20332]

I have been asked to reply.

I have no intention of implementing any part of the working time directive in advance of the decision by the European Court of Justice on the UK's legal challenge to the directive.
