§ Mr. SackvilleIt is a matter for the relatives and the person in lawful possession of the body to authorise the removal of body parts for these purposes and we are not aware of any such applications made to the Department or to the Prison Service. The donation of organs and the removal of body parts for medical research are governed by the Human Tissue Act 1961.
