§ Sir Paul BeresfordThe Fire Brigades Union has made representations to the Department on overall fire service funding for 1996–97, on the fire service college and on the report of the interdepartmental review of fire safety legislation and enforcement in the UK. Overall fire service funding and the fire service college are matters for the Home Secretary. The Government's response to the report of the interdepartmental review will be given as soon as possible.
