To ask the Prime Minister if he will list the EU directives which have been gold plated when transcribed into United Kingdom law in the past five years. [18640]

The Government's policy is not to add unnecessary burdens on business when implementing EC directives in the UK. Departments keep existing legislation under review in the light of this policy.
