§ Mr. SackvilleMy right hon. and learned Friend has no such intention at present. The Fire Service has recently been subject to a major value-for-money study by the Audit Commission. The resulting report made important recommendations which are being pursued by the organisations concerned through the Central Fire Brigades Advisory Council and elsewhere.
