§ Mr. WattsSafety inspections of the channel tunnel are carried out by inspectors of national authorities of UK and France and other experts authorised by the Channel Tunnel Safety Authority. These inspectors visit the tunnel several times a month and report to the safety authority on a range of matters; no major deficiency has been reported. Where problems have been identified, they have been raised with Eurotunnel which has taken corrective action.
