To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what percentage of the total annual budget in Wales is designated for health care; and if he will make a statement. [17516]

Mr. Richards

Provision for the national health service in Wales currently represents about 33 per cent. of total expenditure within the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State.
