To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, pursuant to the answer of 16 February 1995,Official Report, column 805, what has been the cost of maintenance, including figures for fees and VAT payments, of Century house since 16 February 1995; and what plans there are for the building. [33383]

The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster has asked me to reply to your question about Century House.Since 16th February 1995 the cost of maintenance, including fees and VAT, has been £146,140.A planning application for conversion to residential use has been made. Following the grant of planning permission, it is proposed that the property will be sold in the open market for conversion to residential use.
