§ Mr. MaloneThe Department is carrying out no research into arachis oil. There is no evidence to exclude the use of arachis oil in lactating mothers. Guidance regarding use of medicinal products containing arachis oil is given in the manufacturers' product information for doctors and patients, which is authorised by the Licensing Authority, and in the British National Formulary which is sent free of charge to all doctors by the Department of Health.
