To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will issue guidelines to electoral registration officers encouraging the registration of those with no fixed abode at an accommodation address in circumstances where the requirements of permanence and the qualifying date for registration are met; and if he will make a statement. No; accommodation addresses are not permitted under current legislation.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he has taken concerning electoral registration arrangements for homeless persons following the decision in the case of Lippiattv. the Electoral Registration Officer, Penwith district council. [32969]
