§ Mr. BowisThe Department monitors provision of care to older people living in the community on a regular basis. This includes work by the social services inspectorate, the regular collection and publication of statistics and longer-term research to evaluate progress.

§ Mr. BowisI regularly meet representatives of the Association of Directors of Social Services to discuss a wide range of issues, including community care. My next formal meeting with the association is on 19 June.
