Further to the Answer given by Lord Chesham on 5th June 1996 (WA 128), what are the differences between the rights and freedom secured by the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and those secured by the European Convention on Human Rights.

The rights and freedoms secured by the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights are set out in those instruments, the text of each of which is a public document. I would refer the noble Lord to those sources as well as to the Answer by Lord Chesham on 5th June.
