§ Sir Paul BeresfordThe health and safety of those involved in asbestos removal work is regulated by the Health and Safety Executive. HSE administers a system for licensing employers and the self-employed who work with asbestos insulation or asbestos coating, including removal. This enables HSE to monitor and inspect the work of licensed contractors. HSE also gives advice and publishes guidance.
