§ Mr. Oppenheim[holding answer 7 June 1996]: The DTI Invest in Britain Bureau promotes the benefits of the United Kingdom to potential inward investors. In the English regions, it is the responsibility of each of the regional development organisations to produce an annual inward investment strategy that draws upon the particular strengths and selling points of their respective regions.
The Invest in Britain Bureau also part funds the RDOs on the basis of agreeing this forward programme of inward investment promotional activities each year.
