TaylorIn line with guidance recently issued by the Central Computer and Telecommunications Agency and the Cabinet Office central IT unit, my Department has initiated studies to assess the extent to which its computer systems will need to be amended to take account of the millennium date change. The results of these studies, including estimates of the cost of the corrective work, are expected later this year.
