§ Sir Paul BeresfordThe current director general of the Health and Safety Executive, Miss Jenny Bacon, took up post in July 1995. Since then she has met members of the Cabinet Office deregulation unit—CODU—on two occasions. She has also been to two other meetings where members of CODU have been present.
