HC Deb 11 June 1996 vol 279 c86W
Mr. Harry Greenway

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make it his policy not to increase permitted aircraft movements from Northolt airport; and if he will make a statement. [30992]

Mr. Norris

[holding answer 4 June 1996]: The station continues to operate on the basis of 7,000 civil movements a year.

In its recent report on UK airport capacity, the House of Commons Transport Committee included a number of conclusions and recommendations relating to increased civil use of RAF Northolt. The Government will respond in due course to these and to the other recommendations of the Committee.
