§ Mr. HagueThe over-30-month slaughter scheme is run by the Intervention Board executive agency. I understand that following slaughter carcases are stained and transported in sealed containers to renderers or for cold storage before rendering. The process is carefully monitored by the Meat Hygiene Service and state veterinary service and there are no carcases unaccounted for.
