To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has made to Southern Water Services in relation to the discharges from Pennington sewage treatment plant and its impact on local shellfish. [31167]

In 1994 the Department responded to statutory consultations by the National Rivers Authority relating to discharges from Pennington sewage treatment plant.

The Department has made no representations on this subject to Southern Water Services.
