To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he will announce the date for which the Criminal Cases Review Commission will receive applications. [30586]

Mr. Kirkhope

Members are currently being recruited for the commission and we expect them to be appointed during September. The commission will begin taking cases after a short transition period; the precise date will be announced nearer the time.
