To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what new proposals he has to reduce air pollution. [29795]

Mr. Clappison

The Government will be publishing a consultation draft of a national air quality strategy this summer, as required by the Environment Act 1995. It will include air quality standards and objectives, and set out the measures required to meet those objectives.
