§ Mr. Ian TaylorMy Department's support for technology foresight, Link and the industrial units scheme and our funding of relevant and collaborative research through the research councils are examples of support which encourages companies to work with the university sector to improve national competitiveness and quality of life. Other schemes such as the realising our potential award and foresight challenge have brought industrial funds into academia.
