§ Mrs. Browning[holding answer 23 July 1996]: The Department supports research which will lead to an increased understanding of the contamination, growth and survival of food poisoning organisms in foods. In addition, the Department funds surveillance studies to provide a greater understanding of the incidence and types of food poisoning organisms found in foods.
