25. Mr. Spellar

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on current developments in the middle east peace process. [35186]

We give full support to the continuation of the peace process and look to both Israel and the Palestinians to fulfil their undertakings under the Oslo accords.

Mr. Callaghan

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the peace process in the Palestine—Israel dispute. [36274]

Sir Nicholas Bonsor

We welcome the confirmation by Prime Minister Netanyahu of his intention to proceed with the peace process.

We look forward to full implementation of the Israel—Palestine interim agreement, and the declaration of principles. Resumption of negotiations with Syria is also important.
