The Deputy Prime Minister[holding answer 4 July 1996]: Interchange between all parts of the private sector and the civil service is promoted by the Office of Public Service, Government Departments, and the Whitehall and industry group. I have recently appointed a panel of businessmen from a wide range of sectors, including small businesses, to help increase these exchanges.
