HC Deb 08 July 1996 vol 281 cc45-6W
Mr. Win Griffiths

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list the enterprise trusts which receive public moneys and indicate for the last year for which figures are available the funding received by each and the principal activities which were financed, separately identifying the administrative costs of each. [34849]

Mr. Jonathan Evans

There are 20 local enterprise trusts or agencies in Wales providing a variety of services in support of local businesses. They are non profit-making and receive funding from a variety of public and private sources, details of which are set out in their audited accounts. The Welsh Office does not directly fund enterprise agencies and to gather the information requested would entail disproportionate costs. The verified enterprise agencies in Wales are as follows:

  • Antur Dwyryd-Llyn Enterprise Agency
  • Antur Teifi
  • 46
  • Antur Menai
  • Bersham Enterprise Centre
  • Clwydfro Enterpise Agency
