§ Mrs. BrowningI know of no grounds for such an inquiry. Proper heat treatment effectively destroys any listeria contamination in raw milk and the vast majority of milk undergoes a heat treatment. In addition, there are strict hygiene controls on production and processing of milk under the Dairy Products (Hygiene) Regulations 1995.
