§ Mr. BaldryThe fish diseases laboratory at Weymouth is part of the Ministry's directorate of fisheries research, and its annual running costs are currently £1.9 million. It employs 53 staff and is responsible for statutory duties in relation to fish and shellfish diseases and shellfish hygiene, and undertakes related research.
