§ Mr. SproatEuro 96 has been organised on a self-financing basis. The Department and its agencies have provided more than £400,000 to support the local authorities, cultural programme organised alongside the football. The DNH-sponsored national music festival has also focused this year on Euro 96, with Department support increased by £40,000 to £100,000.
