§ Mr. SproatEnglish Heritage has budgeted for expenditure of £126.3 million in 1996–97, of which £107.3 million is to be provided by Government grant in aid. This sum includes specific provision of £2 million each for the Albert memorial and Eltham palace. The allocation for 1996–97 is 11 per cent. higher in real terms than in 1990–91.
