§ Mr. HagueRecent reports from family health services authorities indicate that 26 general dental practitioners have so far been offered grants either to establish new, or to expand existing, dental practices. In addition, 12 NHS trusts have plans to recruit additional dentists.
More than £1 million has already been reserved but, in most instances, it will take a few months for the new dentists to become operational and the grant payable. To date, £50,000 has been issued to support the community dental service appointments.
