asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the grant of £104,662 by South Thames Regional Health Authority to King's College Centre for Medical Law and Ethics goes towards multi-centre research projects in more than one country.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)

The grant is solely for work to examine how the work of Research Ethics Committees across the South Thames Region may be co-ordinated most effectively.
