§ Mr. OppenheimTotal fixed investment in the United Kingdom in 1979 amounted to £75.8 billion at 1990 prices. For the four quarters ending in September 1995, the latest period for which figures are available, the level of investment was £100.2 billion, a third higher than the 1979 level.
