§ Mr. CurryI have placed in the Library of the House today a copy of a consultation paper that invites views on the content of regulations about the allocation of housing accommodation by local authorities. The Government are committed to ensuring that social housing goes to those households with the greatest underlying needs, and the paper seeks views on ways to achieve this. It is proposed that the regulations should provide a framework within which each local authority would establish the allocation policy best suited to local needs.
