§ Mr. Gwilym JonesWork started in August 1995 on stage 1 of the scheme, the length between Cancoed and Minffordd. A public inquiry will be held into the draft orders for the next stage, Dolwyddelan to Pont yr Afanc, this April. Subject to the satisfactory outcome of the statutory procedures, it is expected that works on this stage will commence in early 1997.
