§ Sir Paul BeresfordThe Department of the Environment and its sponsored bodies have achieved increases, year on year, in the amount of private finance attracted in support of departmental programmes. In 1995–96 we estimate that £4.6 billion will be levered-in. The administrative costs of this activity are not separately identified.
