To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the outcome of the incidents involving illegal immigrants arriving at Gatwick in December 1993 absconding. [10469]

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many persons arriving at United Kingdom ports of entry have been allowed to go to temporary addresses in each of the last five years; and how many have absconded in each year. [10459]
