§ Mr. MacleanOne of the Audit Commission's citizens charter police performance indicators requires the setting of target times for incidents which require an immediate response. The setting of these targets is a local matter, and some forces choose to set separate targets for rural areas. The latest targets, and performance against them, are published in the report of Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Constabulary 1994–95, a copy of which is in the Library.
