§ Mr. MossEnergy conservation and the efficient use of energy resources are a Government priority. Since 1 April 1995 it has been the Northern Ireland Housing Executive's policy, approved by the Department, to install double glazing in all its new housing.
The installation of oil-fired central heating for the executive's existing houses is currently under review. However, with effect from 1 April 1996, its policy, approved by the Department, is to include oil heating as a option for all new-built houses.
