To ask the President of the Board of Trade what guidance he intends to issue to(a) Departments, (b) executive agencies, (c) non-departmental public bodies and (d) outside bodies and arms-length organisations which he has responsibility for, or an interest in, regarding the implementation of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995; and if he will make a statement. The Department of Social Security is primarily responsible for the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, and I refer the hon. Gentleman to the reply from my hon. Friend the Minister for Social Security and Disabled People, 15 January 1996,Official Report, columns 417–18.

I will ensure that my Department and any bodies for which it is responsible are reminded of their responsibilities under the Act.
