§ The Prime MinisterAs announced by my predecessor on 24 July 1990Official Report, columns 299–300, and implemented by SI 1990/2018 of 12 October 1990, the provision of Her Majesty's civil list is £7.9 million in each year of the current 10-year settlement. Surplus provision in the early years is designed to cover shortfalls in the later ones.
