§ Mr. HagueDetailed guidance on the private finance initiative was issued to the NHS in Wales—under the cover of a letter numbered DGM (95)112, in July 1995. A copy of this guidance has been placed in the Library of the House. Guidance on information management and technology projects within the NHS is being prepared.
The Treasury handbook "Private Opportunity, Public Benefit" is being distributed widely in Wales and this will build on the general advice that has already been provided.

§ Mr. HagueThe estimated capital value of each of the projects being looked at currently, which have been announced, are as follows: M4 relief road, £330 million; A465 Heads of the Valleys road, £175 million; eastern bay link of the Cardiff peripheral distributor road, £108 million; new general hospital at Baglan, £40 million; staff residential accommodation, district general hospital, Llantrisant, £3 million; day surgery unit and mental health development, Nevill Hall, Abergavenny, £7 million; cancer treatment centre, Glan Clwyd district general hospital, Rhy1, £15 million; community hospital, Chepstow, £6 million; replacement of radiotherapy equipment, Velindre, £4 million; OSIRIS, office automation system for Welsh Office, £13 million.
Information on schemes costing less than £1 million is not collected.
