§ Mr. Richards[holding answer 10 January 1996]: Work force planning information is collected for certain non-medical and dental staff groups in the NHS on an annual basis. To reduce the burden on the service the information requested centrally was reduced considerably in 1995. Only information which enables decisions on student intake numbers to be made for those staff groups planned and funded centrally is now collected.
