Without further information it is not possible to identify the first of these two documents: the letters "BL SRIS" refer to the British library's science reference and information service which acquires a large volume of documents for its library collection. I understand that the journal entitled "British telecommunications engineering: the journal of the Institution of British Telecommunications Engineers" is published quarterly. One copy of each issue is deposited with the British library by the publishers, as required under the statutory legal deposit arrangements, and a further copy of each issue is donated to the British library.
The most recent issue of this journal to be received under legal deposit was volume 14, part 3, dated October 1995, which was deposited on 6 December 1995. On the basis of the publishing pattern of this journal, the library would expect to receive copies of the January 1996 issue during March.
