To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs which countries have received Overseas Development Administration funding to finance police training in the United Kingdom since 1990. [16943]

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many United Kingdom police(a) training consultants and (b) technical co-operation officers have been sent to Indonesia since 1990; and what was the cost of their visits. [16942]

Mr. Hanley

Under the police management training project, five police training consultants have visited Indonesia. The cost between 1990–91 and 1994–95 was £584,000. No technical co-operation officers were sent.
